FAQ

Do I need to learn a new script?

No. Afaan Oromo is written in Qubee, which uses the Latin alphabet — the same letters you're reading now. You read and write from your first lessons.

How long until I can hold a conversation?

After Phase 1 (~100 hours): basic conversations. After Phase 2 (250 hours total): you'll speak well.

Are lessons 1:1 or in groups?

Both. Most students start 1:1; group classes work if you're learning with family, colleagues, or friends.

Where do in-person lessons take place?

Addis Ababa, or by arrangement if you're visiting Ethiopia. Remote lessons are available worldwide.

What are the rates?

Rates depend on the course type, phase, and schedule — and where you're based. Contact Suratu for a quote.
